In addition to being a avid WeBA Member and supporter, Dan Duckering is currently President and CEO of Duckering’s Transport Ltd.
Mr. Duckering is one of three owners representing the 3rd generation of Duckerings to own the family trucking business which was founded in 1971. Duckering’s Transport employs 120 Albertans and is a regional carrier which provides overnight service across Alberta.
Mr. Dan Duckering has also served on the board of the Alberta Motor Transport Association since 2005 and is recently finished serving his second term as Chairman of the Board. As a Past Chairman, Mr Duckering is still on the AMTA Executive and speaks on behalf of the industry to government regulators, the media, and to the public. Dan serves on a number of committees of the AMTA including Compliance and Regulatory Affairs Council, the LCV Committee, and is the chair of the Edmonton Facilities Committee that is exploring the potential of a new driver training track and facility in the Edmonton region.
In addition to his responsibilities on the AMTA board Duckering serves as an Alberta Representative to the board of directors for transportation’s national industry organization, the Canadian Trucking Alliance. This year Dan Duckering was elected to the Executive of the CTA and now occupies the position of Secretary for that organization.
